the brand behind
the marquee

act one

We set the tone for Annie’s Broadway-style celebration with a bold, urban-inspired visual branding system. From graffiti flourishes to glowy neon typography, every detail was designed to evoke the vibrant energy of Times Square and the larger-than-life spirit of the stage.

identity system

We created a custom brand system for the event, including a neon-lights inspired logo family, a bold, electric palette, and an eclectic array of secondary marks, patterns, textures and illustrations. The branding extended across digital and physical touch points—from the invitation suite and signage to take-home swag.

logo exploration

custom illustration

We designed custom neon elements, graffiti flourishes, NYC building illustrations, and textured details brought the event to life with urban spontaneity. These illustrated moments grounded the visual identity and amplified the personality—transforming Annie’s event into a stylized cityscape built for celebration.

photography art direction

Mowax Visual leaned into dramatic contrast, layering timeless black-and-white portraits with fluorescent duotone overlays to heighten the mood—a striking fusion of grit and glow that echoed the energy of Times Square.

iconic graphic elements

To round out the visual system, we designed bold arrows and circle-encased initials inspired by NYC subway signage—wayfinding symbols reimagined for a party in motion. We also created a neon-style icon set, adapted from a typeface and expanded with custom marks, to carry the glow across signage, builds, and interactive zones.

spatial planning

visual concepting + 3d rendering

To transform a raw venue into Annie’s Broadway-worthy debut, we first brought the entire environment to life in 3D design. Every element—from dramatic projections to custom-built props—was designed with precision to ensure show-stopping accuracy.

the big reveal

Interactive touchpoints

Guests passed through a fully customized Broadway-style arch and were greeted with custom motorized handheld fans upon check-in. Inside, they journeyed through Annie’s grand Broadway entrance hall and explored spaces filled with branded activations. From themed photo op areas to interactive craft stations, the atmosphere was curated to feel cinematic and personal.

video projection

As night fell, we pulled back the curtain — unveiling large-scale immersive projections that bathed the space in light, with glowing signage, an LED DJ booth, and a glittering dance floor that invited guests to dance in the streets of Times Square. The final result was a seamless blend of storytelling and spectacle. We storyboarded, designed and animated the full projection experience in partnership with our projection mapping partner.
